Nine Emperor Gods

Pantheon: Nine Emperor Gods (2017-2018) is a body of work that documents the processes and rituals centred on one of the largest Taoist festivals in Singapore - Nine Emperor Gods Festival - where thousands of Taoist devotees (with some travelling from Malaysia and Thailand) gather on a yearly basis to attend a nine-day festival during the ninth lunar month. 

Commissioned by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National Heritage Board (NHB) under the Intangible Heritage Grant.
